Test Link Shortener

I have just finished the Pagination for Pages in the dashboard, as I am just documenting here in blog posts what is done so far.  I thought I typed up something about the Link Shortener that I also built with the CMS, as a workaround, because the links to blog posts are loooong.... 

Like this ...

So, in the beginning, like version 2.0 of the CMS, I did a pretty links version, but it disabled the Search functionality which I already finished.

Then of course there were iterations where I got locked out of the CMS because of coding conflicts between text and hashed passwords ... (which is completely fixed as of yesterday)... 

So my workaround to the ugly long links is to create a Link Shortener INSIDE the CMS. 

Because not all blog posts or pages need to be "prettified" 

So as an example, let's test the post.  This blog posts link is: 

https://www.cmsbycw.com/sb/cms/post.php?slug=test-pagination-on-dashboard-for-posts-and-pages

I will then go to the CMS Link Shortener in the Dashboard "Manage Shortlinks" 

Because I just noticed that the current code for link shortener actually generates a longer link... Hahaha! 

Here it is, now...

Long link:

Short link (which I typed in, optionally): 

https://www.cmsbycw.com/sb/cms/r.php?test-dashboard-pagination

Let's see what shortlink automatically generates, if left empty.. 

It generated this:

.. much shorter, but doesn't make sense.. so I'll create another one ...

So, this works now.  

The link shortener can works in generating a shortlink that is numbered, or a shorter name that you specify.
